Firmino: I always want more

Cape Town - Roberto Firmino is not yet satisfied with his contribution at Liverpool despite producing his best season since joining the club.

Firmino had an impressive 2017/18 season with Liverpool scoring 26 goals in all competitions, but feels there is still more that he can do.

The Brazilian has also managed to score ten goals in the Uefa champions League, where he is joint-second with teammate Mohamed Salah. They trail Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo by five goals.

The 26-year old former Hoffenheim striker still has a chance of increasing his tally when Liverpool faces Madrid in the Champions League final on May 26.

Firmino told Uefa.com: “I am still a little bit 'restless', as I always want more, to grow and grow even further.

“I am a little bit annoyed, because I always want more and I am never satisfied.

“However, you cannot beat yourselves up about these things all the time and you must always keep moving forward.

“It is my first season in the Champions League and I am one of the leading scorers, alongside Cristiano and Salah.

“I am pretty pleased and very happy with my performance and the entire team's performance and I hope to keep that going into the final.”

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
