Cape Town - It was a disappointing weekend for the Blitzboks at the Singapore Sevens.
The South Africans were beaten 12-10 by Fiji in the Cup semi-finals, before also going to down 26-24 to England in the Bronze Final.
Fiji subsequently won the event by edging Australia 28-22 in the Cup Final.
The result was enough for the islanders to knock South Africa off top spot on the overall World Rugby Sevens Series standings.
To cap off a miserable Sunday for South Africa, no Blitzboks featured in the official Dream Team named at the completion of the tournament.
The team was represented by five nations - Fiji (2), Australia (2), Samoa (1), Kenya (1) and New Zealand (1).
