Lyon - Ngani Laumape ran in one of four New Zealand tries as the world champions edged a France XV 28-23 in a clash of second-string sides here on Tuesday.
Laumape sealed the win with the final All Blacks try, after Liam Squire, Matt Duffie and Patrick Tuipulotu had earlier touched down in front a packed 58 000 crowd for the non-cap international.
The French side led 15-14 at half-time after a pair of scores from La Rochelle wing Gabriel Lacroix, but came up short despite a second half try from Henry Chavancy.
Kiwi flyhalf Lima Sopoaga, who came off the bench late in Saturday's 38-18 Test victory over the French in Paris, kicked three of four conversions for the visitors, with Richie Mo'unga knocking over the other.
Francois Trinh-Duc was the only France player also involved in Saturday's defeat - Les Bleus' 11th consecutive against New Zealand since 2009 - and provided eight points with the boot.
France have not beaten New Zealand on home soil since a 42-33 win in Marseille in November 2000.
They host South Africa at the Stade de France on Saturday, while the All Blacks head to Edinburgh this weekend to face Scotland.
