Cape Town - The Southern Kings have registered their first win in the PRO14 competition, as they comprehensively defeated the Dragons at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Friday evening.
The Kings defeated the Welsh club 45-13 after leading 14-13 at half-time.
The Kings, who have gone 16 matches without a win, scored six tries through Masixole Banda, Ruan Lerm, Anthony Volmink, Bobby de Wee and a brace by Luzuko Vulindlu.
All six conversions were landed by flyhalf Kurt Coleman, who also kicked a penalty, to see the home side to victory in front of a pleased Port Elizabeth crowd.
The Dragons side replied with a sole try through Dorian Jones, who slotted the conversion and landed a penalty.
The Kings picked up a welcoming four points for their victory, while the Dragons left empty-handed. The South African outfit however still remain at the bottom of the Conference B standings.
