TRY! BRUMBIES! SAMU! 0-24. Just pure brilliance from the Brumbeis. They hold possession and go through numerous phases from kick off. Brumbies make meters for fun until Samu breaks four tackles to dot down.
KICK OFF! 0-19. We are underway for the second half and the Brumbies are straight back on the attack. They clearly have no intention of handing possession away through kicks.
HALF TIME! 0-19. Well who saw this coming? The Brumbies have been utterly dominant and are good value for their 19-0 lead. Warren Gatland will need to have some strong words with the Chiefs, they are kicking away far too much possession while their forwards are struggling to match that of the visitors.

This time the Brumbies do go to the maul and they fly forward. It looks a try for all money but somehow they end up short and the Chiefs get a scrum. Great defence.

The Brumbies look certain to score a couple meters from the Chiefs line but a knock-on hands Chiefs a lifeline. They looked miles offside but it hasn't been spotted, perhaps the timing was perfect.
Another penalty to the Brumbies. It's on their own 10m line and Banks puts the ball out on the Chiefs 22.

TRY! BRUMBIES! KATA! 0-12. What a start by the Brumbies. The line-out is inside the Chiefs 22 and everyone expects the maul but Powell peals away with the ball and Muihead takes a few defenders with a dummy run. Kata has space to finish out wide and does it brilliantly.
Brumbies show superb defence to drive the Chiefs back. Cruden is forced to kick and Banks runs straight back at them. Offside penalty to the visitors around halfway.
CONVERSION! LOLESIO! 0-7. The extras are added and the Brumbies have a great start.
TRY! BRUMBIES! BANKS! 0-5. Brilliant running angles and handling by Slipper allows Banks to dive over around 7 meters from right hand touch.

Both teams turnover possession through some slack handling but it is the Brumbies who are showing urgency on attack around the halfway line.

The Brumbies come into this clash off a disappointing defeat to the Highlanders. It was a match they really should have won but somehow contrived to lose. They'll need to be far better with ball in hand if they want to trouble the Chiefs.
Last season it was the Brumbies who came out of this fixture victorious after a 54-17 win in Canberra but the Chiefs have started the season well, the complete opposite to last season.
Over the last 10 matches between the Chiefs and Brumbies the average score is 26-26 which just shows how tightly fought most encounters are.
