The hosts are five meters from the Springboks but it is a scrum down to the men in green. Argentina just can''t get the score they need to get some momentum and another penalty to the Sprinboks.
De Klerk has served his 10 minutes in the bin and is back on the field.

Brilliant break from Etzebeth from his own 22 from turnover ball. He gets the pass way to Du Toit who in turn plays De Klerk and then Mapimpi but he runs out of space and cuts in. After a few phases the visitors get a penalty and go for touch 5 meters out.

Los Pumas win a free kick from the first scrum and clear to halfway. Springboks go wide from the resultant line-out but Mapimpi cannot knocks it on.

South Africa come into this match needing just a point to win the Rugby Championship for the first time since 2009 when it was still the Tri Nations. After Australia shocked the All Blacks earlier today they now sit top.
On the other hand, Argentina have not bee at their best during the Rugby Championship. They have yet to win a game despite going close against New Zealand and Australia. Pressure is mounting on today's hosts to produce a result.
Since 2012 when Argentina joined the Rugby Championship South Africa have struggled in Argentina more often than not. Last year Argentina outplayed the Springboks and won 32-19.
The Springboks were convincing 41-23 victors on their last visit to Salta in 2017. On their visit to Salta in 2016 Los Pumas won 26-24.
