Good defence from the Brumbies but they knock the ball on in their 22 and this will be a scrum to the Waratahs. The pace of the game has dropped in the second half and the Brumbies lead by 18 points.
A couple of good picks and drives from the Waratahs as they look for a gap in the defence, but in the end a knock ends the move. The Waratahs have a scrum close to the 5m line.
We are getting close to the hour mark and both teams will have a few tired bodies out there. This is when the bench strength counts. Waratahs really need to win this game, but the Brumbies are in a strong position.
It has been a slower start to the second half and the pace is slower now. Hooper gets a hand to the ball but only manages to knock it forward. A bit of scrappy play from the Waratahs.

TRY, WARATAHS, PHIPPS! 8-28: Nick Phipps puts in a brilliant run and then Hooper takes the ball forward. Phipps comes back to pass a dummy and then take the ball over the line. Clever try from Phipps. First try for the Waratahs.
The Waratahs win another penalty and Foley kicks it to the corner for another lineout. Good urgency from them at the start of this half. They are chasing the game.
A good touch finder from the Waratahs as they win a penalty and clear the ball. The Brumbies still lead by 25 points.
Beale looks slightly uncomfortable with his right leg and the Brumbies kick another ball to the corner for a lineout as Beale is seen limping into position.

HALF-TIME: WARATAHS 3-28 BRUMBIES. That will be all the action from the first half. The Waratahs scored from a penalty but after that it has been all Brumbies who have scored and converted three tries. It has been an exciting first half, but the Waratahs will need to come back strongly in the second.

NO TRY! The Waratahs build well but then are held up by the Brumbies. Swinton gets the ball and looks to score the try but he knocks the ball forward and the move comes to nothing. Big moment in the game as the Waratahs fail to score.

Just a few minutes remaining in the first half and this has been a strong performance from the Brumbies. They win another penalty and go for the lineout.
CONVERSION, BRUMBIES, LEALI'IFANO! 3-28: Leali'ifano makes no mistake again and kicks his 4th conversion correctly to push the lead to 25 points.
TRY, BRUMBIES, FAINGA'A! 3-26: Another powerful drive from the Brumbies after the lineout and they power over the line with Fainga'a grounding the ball over the line. Brilliant play from them throughout this half so far.
Hooper looks like he has intercepted the ball but that is not what the referee thinks. He gives it as a deliberate knock down and this will be another penalty to the Brumbies.
The Waratahs are on the back foot but they have managed to clear the threat. The Brumbies have another lineout on the 22m line.
NO TRY! The verdict from the TMO is that Fainga’a was not in control of the ball as he grounded it so it will not be a try. But the Brumbies were playing under advantage so they will get a lineout on the 5m line.
The TMO is called into the action to check the try. This could be interesting as Brumbies think they have scored on the left wing.
