Allan Alaalatoa misses out through injury. Meanwhile, scrum-half TJ Perenara captains the Hurricanes in the absence of Brad Shields. Jackson Garden-Bachop starts at fly-half alongside him as Beauden Barrett continues his recovery from a concussion. Reed Prinsep replaces Shields on the side of the scrum, while Sam Henwood replaces Ardie Savea following his high ankle sprain.
