The Lions have made three changes to their starting line-up as Harold Vorster, Ross Cronjé and Robbie Coetzee all come into the XV. Vorster is in for Howard Mnisi who injured his knee in the first round clash against the Cheetahs last week. Dylan Smith has recovered from his shoulder injury and comes in on the bench, as does Sylvian Mahuza. Cronjé is set to play his 50th Super Rugby game for the Lions.
Waratahs head coach Daryl Gibson has named an unchanged XV with Bernard Foley set to miss another match while he recovers from concussion.
The Waratahs have won all the games between these two teams from 2008 to 2014, Lions won the game in 2015 by 5 points.
