Madrid - Spanish formation Movistar said on Wednesday they have signed up Italians Dario Cataldo and Davide Villella from Astana on two-year deals.
The Spanish team hailed the pair's "solid all-terrain" qualities and experience 10 days before the start of La Vuelta.
Cataldo, 34, won a stage in last year's Giro while Villella, 28, was the best climber on the 2017 Vuelta.
Movistar are looking to fill the gaps created following the exits of Nairo Quintana and Mikel Landa.
