  • 27

Latham flicks the first ball from Steyn to the midwicket boundary! It just got further and further away from Philander who was giving chase. • Welcome Back - We are all set to start. Guptil and Latham will open the batting for New Zealand. Philander will start us off with the bowling.

  • End of Innings - A brillaint display by New Zealand in the field. They had South Africa in trouble early. A good fightback by Behardien, who made 70, ensured South Africa have something to bowl to. Bracewell was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3/31 in his 10 overs and he was well supported by Adam Milne, who picked up 2/39 in his 10. The pitch is quite slow, so it won't be easy for New Zealand. Join us in 30 minutes for the 2nd innings.

He didn't even wait for the third umpire and carries on walking back to the changeroom. He goes for 2 off 9 deliveries. Imran Tahir is the last man in. The runout and 2 runs coming off Bracewell's over.

  • 47

WICKET! An awful mixup here. Phangiso taps the first ball from Milne to Guptil at point and takes off for a single. He's already halfway when he realies that Philander wants no part of it. Guptil, thinks quick and instead of having a go at the stumps, throws the ball to Ronchi, who completes the run out! Phangiso departs for 1 off 3 balls. Steyn joins his fellow fast bowler in the middle. Steyn gets off the mark with 2 runs off the final over.

  • 46

  • 38

Colin Munro into the attack. Just concedes 2 singles in his first over. Good start for him.

  • 33

WICKET! Sodhi strikes in his comeback over! A flat ball that beats Wiese's sweep and traps him in front! It's a lucky break for New Zealand though, as replays show that the ball pitch marginally outside leg. Wiese departs for 8 off 24 balls. Vernon Philander is the new man in. A wicket and 2 singles in the over.

  • 32

Milne nearly gets his third wicket as Wiese hit the ball straight back to the bowler at shoulder height. That's a tough ask if you'd expect him to catch that. Just a leg-bye coming off the over.

  • 31

Elliot concedes 7 runs in the over, including 2 leg byes. A good over for South Africa. They are hanging in there.

  • 30

Four runs coming off this Milne over. Behardien is doing well rotating the strike and making sure that they are not getting bogged down for too long.

  • 29

Change of ends for Elliot. Three singles taken in the over as well as 2 runs off the last ball.

  • 28

We knew it wouldn't be long until Milne was back. Just a single coming off the over. It really looks tough out there to score any runs, so SOuth Africa will try to get as many as possible and hope that they can get New Zealand out for less!

  • 27

Wheeler just giving away 2 singles as well. He has already bowled 7 overs today, so he has 3 left.

  • 26

Elliot keeps the pressure on and just concedes 2 singles in the over. Each bowler is coming good today.

  • 25

Wheeler is back. Just 4 runs coming off the over, including a leg-bye. A lot will depend on these 2 as there's not much batting left.

  • 24

Elliot starts his second over with a dot ball. WICKET! Elliot gets the big wicket of AB! It bounced more than he expected and moved away slightly and all AB manages to do is offer an easy catch to Guptil at midwicket! He goes for 31 off 45 balls. David Wiese walks out to the middle with South Africa in trouble! A wicket and a single in the over. Good stuff from Elliot.

  • 23

Time for the debutant, George Worker, to have a go. Five singles from the over. New Zealand are doing something not many teams have been able to do...keep AB quiet!

  • 22

Grant Elliot into the attack. Six runs coming off the over. That's 2 good overs for South Africa. They need a few more like this to transfer some of the pressure back onto New Zealand.

  • 21

Sodhi starts with a short ball and Behardien has no problem rocking back and pulling that to the midwicket boundary! Another one! Takes the ball from middle and scoops it to the midwicket boundary for a consecutive boundary! Two singles follow. With 10 runs coming off the over, this is the best over of the morning for South Africa!

  • 20

Bracewell stringing these economical overs together. Just a single coming off this over. He has now bowled 6 over and taken 2/18.

  • 19

Sodhi keeping it tidy, just giving away 4 runs once again. He and Bracewell are bowling well in tandem.

  • 18

WICKET! Bracewell strikes again! The ball was on the pads and Miller was too early into the shot and gets a leading edge to Munro at short cover! He has to go for 5 off 10 deliveries. Farhaan Behardien is the new batsman. Behardien gets off the mark with a boundary thanks to a misfield at extra cover!

  • 17

Sodhi concedes 4 singles and there was 2 runs taken off the fourth ball. Another decent over for South Africa. They need to build on this. It's time for drinks.

  • 16

WICKET! Bracewell strikes with the first ball of his 4th over! Rossouw looks to go over mid-off but instead ends up chipping the ball straight to him! That's what pressure does. He goes for 39 off 51 balls. David Miller comes out to the middle to join his captain. Miller gets off the mark with a single off the last ball.

  • 15

Ish Sodhi continues his miserly spell, just conceding 3 singles. This is really good pressure by New Zealand!

  • 14

A better over for South Africa. Rossouw comes down the track to Bracewell's fifth ball and slaps it over mid-off and picks up 4! That's the first boundary in a long while. Seven runs coming off the over.

  • 13

New Zealand stringing some good overs together here. Once again, just 3 runs coming off Sodhi's over.

  • 12

Another good over for Bracewell, with just 3 singles coming off it.

  • 11

It's a double change as Ish Sodhi replaces Wheeler. Decent start for Ish as just 4 runs come off the over. South Africa's 50 comes up as well! You get a sense that AB is waiting to explode and when that happens, you know how quickly things happen.

  • 10

Milne has been replaced by Doug Bracewell. Just a single coming off the last ball. Not everyday you see a bowler bowl 5 dot balls in a row to AB.

  • 9

Two singles coming off Wheeler's first 2 deliveries. The fifth ball has been played by Rossouw past mid-on for 4! A very wristy shot!

  • 8

Milne getting some good pace and bounce. Just 4 singles coming off the over. How many more overs will the captain give him? He has 6 left.

  • 7

Wheeler continues. AB goes down on one knee and square-drives a ball past backward point for 4! A wide follows. Three runs taken off the last ball of the over.

  • 6

AB gets off the mark with a single off Milne's first delivery. Rossouw gets 2 runs off the next ball. Two singles taken and the last ball has been pulled by Rossouw to the midwicket boundary!

  • 5

Wheeler bowls a maiden. South Africa in a spot of bother but if anyone can get them back on track, it's that man AB de Villiers!

  • 4

Once again, van Wyk gets a single off the first ball of an over. This time it's off Milne. Rossouw uses Milne's pace and just gently times the ball down the ground for 4! WICKET! Milne gets rid of both openers! van Wyk wanted to cut the ball through point and ends up chopping it onto his stumps! He has to go for 2 off 4 balls. That wicket brings AB to the crease.

  • 3

Wheeler bowls a short ball and Rossouw pulls it to the midwicket boundary. Some plays and misses in the over. You just know that Rossouw is not going to play too many dot balls, no matter what the situation is.

  • 2

Adam Milne opens the bowling at the other end. van Wyk gets off the mark straight away with a single. Second ball is on Amla's pads and once again, he flicks it to the midwicket boundary. It was in the air though, but safe enough. WICKET! Milne comes back the best way a bowler can! The ball pitched outside off and Amla threw his bat it, but with no real conviction or footwork and a top edge flies to Elliot at third man! Amla departs for 8 off 8 balls. That bring Rilee Rossouw to the crease. There was a chance for a second wicket in the over when Rilee drove a low full toss back to Milne but he couldn't hold on. Single taken off the last ball.

  • 1

Ben Wheeler opens the bowling and Amla faces the first ball. Fifth ball is on the pads and Amla, who doesn't need a second invitation, flicks that to the midwicket boundary!
