Fresh from making her debut for the Proteas senior women’s national cricket team, high school pupil Karabo Meso is off to Europe.

The 16-year-old from Rockville, Soweto, is on her way to join Rockport School, a prestigious independent boarding school for boys and girls in Northern Ireland.

The wicketkeeper-batter was scheduled to fly out last Friday, but her trip was suspended after flights in Dubai were cancelled due to flooding in that country.
