WATCH: Symcox slams dire state of KZN tennis club

Cape Town - Former South African cricketer Pat Symcox has hit out at the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality for allowing the deterioration of a sports club in the coastal town of Hibberdene on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast.

The Hibberdene tennis club is abandoned and Symcox, who is an adamant sports fan, was appalled by the state of the once thriving club.

Symcox, who played 20 Tests and 80 ODIs for the Proteas, shared a video on his Facebook page showing the dire situation of the tennis club.

“The tennis courts were vandalised, left to rot. To be brutally honest, I think that the councillors and the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality are an absolute disgrace. If this is what you do with our money, then I want mine back,” Symcox said.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
