SA, Israel locked in fierce Davis Cup struggle

Cape Town - South Africa and Israel are locked at 2-2 in their Europe/Africa Zone Group 1 encounter with everything coming down to the final match of the tie. 

South Africa had taken a crucial 2-1 lead thanks to a win by doubles team, Raven Klaasen and Ruan Roelofse over the Israeli pair of Jonathan Erlich and Daniel Cukierman, 5-7, 6-4 and 6-4. 

SA Number 1 Lloyd Harris then lost to Dudi Sela in straight sets, 7-6(2), 6-1 for Israel to hit right back and level the encounter at 2-2. 

Nik Scholtz now faces Edam Leshem in a winner takes all scenario. 

On Friday, Harris proved too strong for Leshem winning 7-5, 6-4 while Sela pulled a point back for Israel by defeating Scholtz 1-6, 7-6(1), 5-7.
