Klaasen, Ram bow out of Wimbledon

Cape Town - Raven Klaasen and Rajeev Ram's run during the men's doubles tournament at Wimbledon is over.

South Africa's top-ranked doubles player and his American partner lost in four sets to the French pairing of Julien Benneteau and Edouard Roger-Vasselin, going down 7-5, 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 (7/5) in a little over three hours.

Klaasen was runner-up at the men's doubles tournament of the 2014 Australian Open. This is the furthest he has ever advanced at Wimbledon.
