Cape Town - A dream will come true for 21 high school tennis players after they jetted off to London on Wednesday to attend this year's Wimbledon.
The learners make up the U-19 and U-15 South African High Schools tennis team who were capped at a ceremony in Johannesburg at the Southern Sun O.R. Tambo International Airport by the President of Tennis South Africa (TSA), Gavin Crookes.
The team will not only attend The Championships, they will also play matches against top English tennis establishments like Millfield College on indoor grass courts and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) Academy in Sutton.
The players were selected after the recent Junior High Schools Inter Provincial event in Gauteng North which included players from all 14 tennis provinces.
