SA's Scheepers to face Serena

Cape Town - South Africa's Chanelle Scheepers may have won her first round match at Wimbledon, but world No 1 Serena Williams now awaits.

Scheepers, ranked 94 in the world, started her campaign on a high note on Tuesday, beating America's world No 49 Christina McHale 6-3, 6-3.

However, she now faces Williams in her next match on Thursday.

Williams, a five-time winner at the All England Club, made light work of compatriot Anna Tatishvili on Tuesday, winning their first round duel 6-1, 6-2.
