Johannesburg - South African number one women's tennis player Chanelle Scheepers came back from a set down to beat Danka Kovinic of Montenegro 4-6 6-0 7-6 at the Hungarian Grand Prix on Friday.
Scheepers will face Austrian Yvonne Meusburger in the semi-final on Saturday.
Scheepers, the number six seed, had trouble with her serve, dishing up just one ace in the match while her opponent threw down five.
However, Scheepers displayed good mental strength as she saved six break points on her own serve during the match.
Scheepers, 69 in the WTA singles rankings, had been expected to dominate the 183rd ranked Kovinic.
