Radwanska falls to Pennetta

Dubai - Second-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland was upset by Italian qualifier Flavia Pennetta 6-4, 6-1 in the second round at the Dubai Championships on Wednesday.

Radwanska, the 2012 Dubai champion, also was ousted in the second round at the Qatar Open in Doha last week.

She led 4-1 then lost eight games in a row to be 6-4, 3-0 down.

The only other game Radwanska won was the fourth game of the second set.

Pennetta, who reached the 2011 Dubai semifinals, will play either Ana Ivanovic or Venus Williams in the quarter-finals.
