Kulichkova sets up Giorgi date

Katowice - Elizaveta Kulichkova of Russia has defeated fifth-seeded Kaia Kanepi 6-1, 6-2 at the Katowice Open on Thursday, and is now set to face Camila Giorgi in the quarter-final.

Eighth-seeded Anna Schmiedlova of Slovakia defeated Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, and plays her next match against Alize Cornet in the last eight.

First-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska is set to play An-Sophie Mestach later on Thursday.
