Anderson rings Closing Bell at New York Stock Exchange

Cape Town - South African tennis star Kevin Anderson had the honour of ringing the Closing Bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday.

It was done to commemorate 50 years of the US Open tennis championships which begin in New York on Monday.

Anderson and second-ranked women’s player Caroline Wozniacki had the honour of ringing the bell.

Anderson, who made the US Open final last year, is the fifth seed for the year’s final Grand Slam.

He will open his campaign against American Ryan Harrison on Monday.
