Anderson marches on at Roland Garros

Cape Town - South Africa's Kevin Anderson is through to the third round of the French Open after a hard fought victory over Uruguay's Pablo Cuevas on Thursday. 

Anderson won a four-set contest, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (7/5) and 6-4 in a match lasting 2 hours and 46.

The big serving South African managed 21 aces during the encounter and was successful with 61% of his first serves.

He also managed 44 winners. 

Anderson was joined in the third round by Kyle Edmund, Dominic Thiem, Marin Cilic and Mischa Zverev amongst others.
