WATCH: The greatest point in tennis history?

Cape Town - There have been countless debates as to who can lay claim to be the greatest tennis player of all-time.

Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal?

Nadal has a healthy lead in their head-to-head rivalry, but on Sunday it was Federer who walked away with the spoils when he won their Australian Open final clash 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3.

In head-to-head meetings between the two, Nadal leads 23-12, having dominated the rivalry on clay courts (13-2).

But Federer boasts a record 18 Grand Slam titles, compared to Nadal's 14.

Federer and Nadal are no doubt two of the game's greatest and on Sunday also played one of the best ever points.

With Nadal serving at 3-4 and deuce in the final set, Federer won the longest rally of the match (26 shots) which helped him to claim the pivotal break and serve the match out.
