Cape Town - South African Raven Klaasen is into the round of 16 at the Australian Open with doubles partner Michael Venus.
Klaasen and his New Zealand partner Venus were far too good for the team of Marcus Daniell (New Zealand) and Wesley Koolhof (Netherlands) on Saturday.
Klaasen and Venus emerged as 7-6, 6-3 winners in their second round clash to advance to the next round of the tournament.
They will now take on the team of Marcelo Demoliner (Brazil) and Frederik Nielsen (Denmark) in the last 16.
Klaasen and Venus were the runner-ups at Wimbledon last year were they fell to the American duo of Jack Sock and Mike Bryan at the final hurdle.
