Cape Town - South African Lloyd Harris' gallant run at the Adelaide International ended in defeat in the final against Russia's Andrey Rublev.
Rublev romped to victory in just 57 minutes, winning 6-3, 6-0, making it back-to-back titles for the 22-year-old after claiming victory at the Qatar Open in Doha last week.
Harris can console himself in the knowledge that his performance Down Under will see his ranking rise to a new high of 72nd on Monday.
Rublev, meanwhile, is now the 16th-ranked player in the ATP rankings.

Harris faces a tough opener against 14th-seeded Argentine Diego Schwartzman in Round 1 of next week's Australian Open, while Rublev should have little trouble dispatching local wild card Christopher O'Connell.
