Cape Town - Lucas Pouille, who recently faced Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open final four, believes he won't hinder defending French Open champion Rafael Nadal in Paris.
Djokovic roared to his 15th Grand Slam title in Melbourne with a sensational win over Nadal in the final.
He also steamrollered Pouille in the semis, and he barely looked like dropping a point in either match never mind a set.
"Just after the match, there was a disappointment," admitted Pouille.
"But there was nothing to do. Djokovic was above all the others.
"He just hit 14 unforced errors between the semi-final and final, it's just unbelievable. I had never seen him performing at that level."
Djokovic has been widely tipped to win all four majors this year, but if he's going to achieve that he will probably have to go through Nadal in Paris.
"Nadal stays Nadal at the French Open," Pouille added when asked if Djokovic can beat Nadal at Roland Garros this year.
"He is at home. On clay, he (Djokovic) is just behind Nadal to me."
