Federer, Wawrinka skip Davis Cup tie

Paris - Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka will miss Switzerland's Davis Cup first round tie in the United States in February, leaving the 2014 champions hopes of making the quarter-finals on a knife-edge.

The Swiss will instead turn to Marco Chiudinelli (128 in the world), Henri Laaksonen (135), Adrien Bossel (489) and Antoine Bellier (611) for the tie to be staged in Birmingham, Alabama, from February 3-5.
