Federer, Nadal in star-studded Basel line-up

Cape Town - Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have confirmed their participation in the Swiss Indoors in Basel, Switzerland later this year.

Federer is a record seven-time winner of the ATP 500 event and last played Nadal in the 2015 final.

On that occasion, the Swiss maestro edged his rival in a three-set thriller.

The superstar duo will be joined in the draw by world No 3 Stan Wawrinka and rising star Nick Kyrgios.

Reports also revealed that Japan's Kei Nishikori will be part of the high-class field. 

The 2017 Swiss Indoors gets underway on October 23.
