Cape Town - Former Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanisevic feels the Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic generation is the best there has been in tennis.
The Croatian, who won the 2001 Wimbledon title by beating Pat Rafter in the final for his only Grand Slam singles title, said he would have loved to have won more slams.
But added that it had proved to be a task out of his reach due to having played in a great era with the likes of Pete Sampras, Jim Courier, Boris Becker and Stefan Edberg.
"I would have liked to win a few more slams, but I shared this era with great players like Sampras, Courier, Becker, Edberg and other young guys who came after, and it was not easy," Ivanisevic admitted.
"I had the opportunity to play against everyone, with Lendl, Wilander, Bjorn (Borg). And then against Nadal and Federer. It's difficult to compare," he said when asked which era was the best in tennis.
"Every generation is unique and you have great players.
"Probably Federer is the best out of everyone, Rafa and Djokovic, they are part of the best generation ever seen."
