Perth - Former US Open champion Sam Stosur will team with Bernard Tomic as hosts Australia attempt to break a 14-year title drought at the Hopman Cup mixed teams tennis tournament.
Stosur will play the event for the first time since 2010, while Tomic returns after beating world No 1 Novak Djokovic at last year's tournament.
He went on to reach the third round of the Australian Open, losing to Roger Federer, and the fourth round at Wimbledon.
World No 4 Aganieszka Radwanska will team with Wimbledon semi-finalist Jerzy Janowicz as Poland makes its debut at the tournament which runs from December 28 to January 4.
Organisers said a new partner is being sought for France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga after the sudden retirement of Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli. Five more teams will be named over the coming month.
Radwanska hoped she and Janowicz can make a mark in Poland's debut.
"I've never played mixed doubles with (Jerzy) before," Radwanska said. "Actually my last mixed doubles match was I think five years ago, so that will be fun for sure."
