Madrid - South Africa's Kevin Anderson has advanced to the second round of the Madrid Masters after defeating Canada's Jesse Levine in straight sets on Monday.
The South African No 1 won comfortably, 6-2, 6-2.
Anderson will next face the winner of the match between Serbian 9th seed Janko Tipsarevic and Argentine Juan Monaco.
