Almagro pulls out of Wimbledon

London - Nicolas Almagro of Spain has withdrawn from Wimbledon because of a foot injury.

The withdrawal of the 25th-seeded clay-court specialist means Vasek Pospisil of Canada has been promoted to the No 31 seed and Russia's Dmitry Tursunov elevated into the seedings at 32.

Wimbledon organizers take players' grass-court records into account when assigning seedings rather than working purely off rankings.

The draw for the Grand Slam tournament will take place on Friday, with the event starting on Monday.
