Cape Town - England will try to end 52 years of hurt as they battle it out in Russia to lift the World Cup 2018 trophy. Here are some key numbers for the World Cup.

Ashley Young is confident the 2018 Soccer World Cup in Russia will be a platform for club team-mate Marcus Rashford to show the world that he is the real deal.

The two Manchester United players are in the England squad that is preparing for the tournament to be staged in Russia.

Young feels his young team-mate has the potential to be among the best players in the world and has the right attitude to achieve that.

Rashford is heading to his second tournament with England having become the youngest Three Lions player to feature in a major competition, when he came from the bench in the 2-1 win over Wales at Euro 2016.

Young told Sky Sports: "I think he (Rashford) will cope really well, he has his feet firmly on the ground and he wants to learn every day.

"He's one of them that the manager has to tell him 'come inside' because he wants to stay out and play non-stop.

"I've said it since I saw him in the youth team; he has a massive future ahead of him. He's a fantastic player and if he keeps on going the way he is he can set the world alight.

"The World Cup can be a stage for him to show everyone just how far he has come since he made his debut."
