Germany failed to progress from the group stage of a World Cup for the first time after their embarrassing 2-0 loss to South Korea on Wednesday.

It is also the first time since 1982 that an African team failed to reach the tournament's second round.

Nonetheless, the next few days are set for mouth-watering entertainment with several big guns still eager to lift the coveted trophy.
