Cape Town - Senegal captain and Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has played down reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid, insisting he is focused on his current club.
Mane, who is currently on holiday following Senegal's early exit from the Soccer World Cup, was on the scoresheet for the Reds against Los Blancos in the Champions League final in May, which Madrid won 3-1 at the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium in Kiev.
The 26-year-old has enjoyed two successful seasons in Merseyside and has been touted to fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo, who is rumoured to depart.
Ronaldo is reportedly close to signing for Juventus having tabled a €100 million offer for the player, according to various media reports.
On a visit to his hometown, Bambali, Mane insisted that the reports are just "rumours" and that no contacted has been made.
"I am not aware of anything and haven't been contacted," he said, as quoted by Goal.com website.
"I remain a Liverpool player and I will join my team-mates in the United States for the pre-season tour.
"Real are a great team, but I am focused on my team, Liverpool."
Mane has scored 23 goals in two Premier League seasons since joining Jurgen Klopp's side from Southampton.
