Cape Town - England midfielder Eric Dier admits he is motivated to beat Belgium because it would give him bragging rights over certain Tottenham Hotspur team-mates next season.
Dier will potentially be facing Spurs buddies Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Mousa Dembele at the World Cup on Thursday, when England take on Belgium in their final Group G game.
With both sides having already qualified for the last 16, some may think the players will be short on motivation.
However, Dier insists he is eager to beat his Spurs team-mates.
"It was mixed feelings when we were drawn with Belgium because neither of us are going to want to lose as it will be a real nightmare for next season," Dier told Tottenham's official website.
"I can't think of anything worse than Jan beating England because he will never ever shut up about it! But to be honest, neither will we if we beat them!"
Three Lions striker Harry Kane will also be facing his Tottenham team-mates and could square off against Vertonghen, who added: "It might be me against Harry, that would be special. I play him quite often in training, so it would be a good battle."
