Cape Town - Italy head coach Cesare Prandelli has singled out France's Paul
Pogba as the "best midfielder in the world" after seeing him in action
for Juventus.
The 21-year-old raised his value over this past season and emerged as one of the best players in Serie A as his side ran away with the league title for the second consecutive time.
Despite having the highly-rated Andrea Pirlo and upcoming Marco Verratti in his World Cup squad, the Azzurri boss has picked Pogba as his number one midfielder.
"Pogba is the best midfielder in the world," Prandelli told L'Equipe. "He can play in several roles. He has exceptional physical and technical capabilities.
"He knows when to arrive in the area and how to cause the opposition trouble. Moreover, he has a very strong character."
Prandelli is currently preparing his side for their World Cup campaign where they are in Group D, while Pogba will do duty for Les Blues in Group E.
