Dear Editor,
I am a proud South African who is not a big soccer lover but I'm filled with the joyous spirit that has come with hosting this enormous tournament.
I cannot describe the moment when Tshabalala scored that goal - the whole country caught alight; it was just magic. I am really feeling it because it is here.
What I fail to understand is how people can be so negative about the most positive thing that has happened to our country in years. Would you rather hold on to your hatred and negativity than enjoy this wonderfull moment in history?
If you honestly hate living in South Africa that much, I am thinking of starting a charity that will raise funds for negative South Africans to emigrate and go be someone else's problem. We don't want your Doom and Gloom here. We are going to let our light shine for the world to see.
Enjoy the rest of your World Cup my fellow South Africans; we may be different races but our blood is green and gold for the next month. Embrace it!
