Cape Town - While most Chelsea fans will be relieved that Jose Mourinho sold David Luiz to PSG, the Special One has defended his former player after Brazil's disastrous performance in the semi-finals of the SWC.
Mourinho, speaking as Yahoo’s Global Football Ambassador, thinks the whole Brazil team should share the negative press, not just his former player David Luiz.
The Chelsea manager felt it was unfair to single out a player when the entire team did not perform adequately.
Whilst admitting that Luiz made mistakes, the Special One also suggested that Dante, Marcelo and Fernandinho made costly errors in the match.
"The team as a team made mistakes. So I don't think it’s fair." said Mourinho.
In what looks like a brilliant decision by Jose Mourinho, Luiz was sold to Paris Saint-Germain for £50million earlier this year.
