Cape Town - Ghana's 23-player World Cup squad was announced by coach Kwesi Appiah on Tuesday.
Africa has high hopes for the Black Stars who have reached the knock-out phase on two occasions. In 2006 they lost 3-0 to five time champions Brazil and in 2010 they lost to Uruguay on penalties but should have gone through if a sneaky Luis Suarez handball had not stopped the 120 minute header.
This time around they are in the 'Group of Death' where captain Asamoah Gyan's charges will face Germany, Portugal and USA in Group G.
