Dining out with Suarez

Cape Town - Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez doesn't mind the odd nibble.

His meal of choice seems to be the shoulder and it must taste pretty good! Why else would he have tried to snack on THREE different players?

We undertook extensive investigations to find the best "Soccer Player Shoulder" recipes.

Here is what international and local celebrities had to say when quizzed for the best recipe.

We started off by asking our friends at @food24 but they just got us drooling over delicious lamb shoulder recipes.

Next up, internationally recognised chef @jamieoliver! We asked him for some ideas to get the ball rolling but he's still a rookie when it comes to Soccer Player Shoulder.

The Spice People are certainly on the ball! @RobertsonsSpice recommends the perfect #SpiceCombo to go with our "soccer player shoulder"...

Celebrity chef @ReubenRiffel offered up some interesting options. We can't wait to test them out!

@MasterChef_SA winner @KaminiPather certainly knows her food. We've placed our orders!

Celebrity chef and author @JennyMorrisChef played a bit coy with us but we know that we gave her a great new idea for a meal.

MasterChef South Africa judge Pete Goffe-Wood, @PeteGW, raised the topic of under cooking one's meal. We've given Pete the Fairplay award.

It wasn't long before the Spice People were back, @RobertsonsSpice, came back to us with this great "action shot" which will certainly tempt Luis to break the offside trap.

But the award for the most salivating "Soccer Player Shoulder" recipe goes to @HudsonsBurgers

We're expecting an invite soon to try out their #Suarezburger!

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
