Leading SA bookies, BetFlash, have installed the 2014 hosts as 3/1 favourites to win a sixth World Cup title.

Brazil are followed in the pecking order by fellow South Americans Argentina (4/1) and Germany (6/1).

Defending champions Spain are next best at 13/2, followed by 'dark horses' Belgium (18/1), France (22/1) and Italy (24/1).

The tournament starts on Thursday, June 12 with the opening match between Brazil and Croatia kicking off at 22:00 SA time.
