Cape Town - Efe Ambrose believes the current crop of Super Eagles players
could be "the best team Nigeria will ever produce", despite their
last-16 exit at the 2014 World Cup.
The defending Africa Cup of Nations champions traveled to Brazil with plenty of gusto, but returned home after the second round as they went down 2-0 against France.
However, Ambrose believes the national team can take plenty of pride from their achievements, while he is also looking ahead to AFCON 2015, as well as qualifying for the 2018 World Cup.
"I believe that in time this will be the best team Nigeria will ever produce," he told African Football.
"We have to give ourselves credit for the determination, the zeal and the will power to win, we proved a point at the World Cup.
"We will carry on from here, there are the AFCON qualifiers and the next World Cup."
