Tovey booted out of AmaZulu

Cape Town - Former Bafana Bafana skipper Neil Tovey has been fired from his now former club AmaZulu FC with immediate effect.

The following press release was officially released by the club: "The AmaZulu board of directors have decided to terminate the current head coach’s contract, Neil Tovey, with AmaZulu Football Club with immediate effect.

The club is reviewing CV’s from international coaches and will make an announcement in the very near future on who will take up this vacant post. There was an agreement between the club and the former coach on certain key focus areas such as league position and these were not achieved.

No further discussions on this matter will be entertained with the media until a follow up board meeting has been concluded to discuss further issues related to the 2010/2011 technical team and players."
