Cape Town - Absa Premiership star Mark Mayambela's brother, Mihlali, has signed a three-year deal with Farense in Portugal's second tier.
Mayambela the younger spent last season on loan at the club from Djurgardens in Sweden where he is said to have caught the eye of a number of sides.
The 22-year-old played 33 matches while scoring five goals and recording four assists.
His good form seemingly compelled his team to give him a contract on a permanent basis and hand him a lucrative new deal in the Segunda Divisao Portuguesa.
His representative of DERs Group, Prince Arnold Hanson, told Soccer Laduma: "Mihlali is showing to be a star already, the next big thing in my opinion. The people of Faro fell in love with the little magician very quickly, and they wanted more of him - they now have it.
"The boy has signed a three-year contract and is buzzing to start the new season already.
"He attracted a lot of offers from Europe, Alaves in Spain, as well as Santa Clara and Penafiel in Portugal, showed interest.
"That's a sign of greatness, but we are now focused on the current challenge."
