Cape Town - Mamelodi Sundowns defender Wayne Arendse says they are eager to reach a cup final as they prepare for their MTN8 semi-final second leg against SuperSport United on Wednesday.
Masandawana have never won the MTN8 trophy under the guidance of head coach Pitso Mosimane and the players have the desire to set the record straight, according to Arendse.
The tie is currently delicately poised at 1-1 after the first leg but Sundowns got the vital away goal that will see them go into Wednesday's contest as favourites to progress to the final.
It will already be the third time this season that the Tshwane rivals will play each other so both teams should know what to expect.
Arendse said in quotes on the Mamelodi Sundowns website: "We know what they are about - a really good attack.
"They have scored in all of their games and that is obviously where their strength is, they are an attacking force.
"We know what we are up against. We are eager to be in a final because our last final was back in 2016 and I think we just need to get back in that space. At Sundowns that is how it's supposed to be, so the guys are looking forward to that and we can't wait."
