Cape Town - Percy Tau capped off a dazzling performance for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in a shock 3-0 win over the much-fancied Anderlecht in Belgium's Croky Cup on Thursday evening.
Tau pulled off a brilliant bit of skill early in the first half to create the opening goal for Union SG with a mazy run before feeding the ball to team-mate Youssouf Niakate who put the visitors ahead.
The Bafana Bafana international lasted 68 minutes with Union SG eventually running out 3-0 winners - thanks to a Niakate hat-trick - over Anderlecht who compete in Belgium's top-flight and the Europa League.
Union SG thanks to the win advance to the quarter-finals of the Croky Cup where they will face third division side Royale Knokke FC.
Tau's new side are currently third in Belgium's Proximus League on 10 points after 7 games, just 3 points off leaders Westerlo in their battle for promotion to the Belgian First Division, known as the Jupiler Pro League.
