Cape Town - The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League quarter-final between Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly has been rescheduled, at the request of the Egyptian side.
Al Ahly had sent a formal request for the first-leg of their tie, which was originally scheduled for Friday, April 5 in Tswhane, be postponed to the next day (Saturday, April 6).
The eight-time continental champions play a domestic match against Ittihad of Alexandria on Tuesday, April 2 and will only arrive in South Africa on Thursday, April 5.
The postponement allows them an additional day of training at the match venue, the day before the fixture.
As a result, the second-leg was also rescheduled to a day later, on 13 April.
