Cape Town - Milutin Sredojevic says he wants to win a trophy for Orlando Pirates' loyal and dedicated supporters.

The experienced 49-year-old coach has done a superb job since his arrival at the Premiership club last season.

And after securing a semi-final match-up with rivals Orlando Pirates in the semi-final of the Telkom Knockout, Sredojevic says the club's fans are due some silverware.

Speaking after beating AmaZulu 3-1 in extra-time in the TKO quarter-finals, the manager told the SowetanLIVE website: "It was so important for us to pass through to the next round.

"Any cup or any match for Orlando Pirates is the most important in our lives."

He added: "Football is played for supporters, we are serving them. Last season we healed their souls. This year we want to feed them.

"It was not an intention to disrespect AmaZulu. The intention was to excite our supporters and thanking them for their support."

Up next for the Sea Robbers though is a Premiership clash with Polokwane City at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Tuesday.
