The midfielder suffered a horrendous fracture to his right ankle after coming off second best in a challenge with Free State Stars' Makhehleni Makhaula.
A clearly emotional Solinas dedicated his side's 3-0 win over stars to Molangoane as the Soweto giants secured a place in the semi-finals of the MTN8.
"We are very happy for this victory but we are also shocked because we lost a nice guy like Joseph," Solinas said after the game.
"We dedicate this victory to Joseph. It's a serious injury. I hope this player can come back quickly.
"My players are shocked in the dressing room. Some are very sad. 'Rama' [Ramahlwe Mphahlele] spoke to him now. He is shocked.
"They lost a team-mate, we lost an important player."
